I offer a professional service of meal prepare for my clients. A Personal Chef is the busy person’s answer to having healthy, delicious, home-cooked meals without spending time in the kitchen cooking. It is someone who loves to cook, loves to prepare wholesome and delicious meals, and wants to take these chores away from the client so that the client can just relax at dinnertime. Chef Donald will come to your home, interview you about your likes and your dislikes, your preferences and your nutritional needs, and then come back on a prearranged cooking day with the groceries and utensils he needs to prepare the meals selected for your menu. The service includes complete grocery shopping on your cook day, menu planning specific to your needs, professional preparation of the meals disposable container packaging and clean up of the kitchen. Chef Donald wills leaves behind an aroma of his cooking and will package and label the meals for heating in your oven or microwave. Meals cab is stored in the refrigerator of freezer until you are ready for them. A personal chef is a chef who comes to your home and prepares a set number of meals for you. Your personal chef comes once, intermittently or regularly at a mutually agreed upon time. How does a personal chef differ from a private chef? A private chef is employed by one individual or family full time, and is often living in and preparing up to three meals daily. Does Chef Donald do the actual cooking too? Chef Donald does all the initial consultations, designs all the meal plans and devises the entire recipe according to your tastes. He likes to cook for your first cook date, but whether he does subsequent cook dates depends on he schedule. He has a team of handpicked chefs (Who have to cook for his during their initial interview) to follow his instructions and cook for you if his is unavailable. Do you do catering? Yes, we a full service catering that can create or assist you with: Dinner Parties Cocktail Parties Wedding Office Parties Holiday Dinners Barbecues or Outdoors Gatherings, etc We can recommend staff, rentals, etc, for you event. Secondline Catering offers event consulting on all affairs. Do you offer cooking class and/or cooking parties? Yes, classes and cooking parties can be arranged in your home. Prices vary according to group size. Do I heat the meals? Yes, We will provide instructions for heating your foods. Meals left in your refrigerator can be immediately reheated. Meals left in your freezer should be defrosted overnight in your refrigerator, and then reheated. An option for immediately reheating after defrosting in your microwave is also provided on your instruction sheet. I’ll be home that day, is it possible for me the watch? Your personal chef has to focus on preparing your meals to make sure they are properly prepared in a timely manner; you are certainly welcome to quietly observe and your chef will be happy to answer any question once the food preparation phase is complete. How often do I have to use this service? As frequently or infrequently as you like. You can the service once or regularly according to your needs. How often can I change my menu? As often as you schedule cook dates. You can choose from the menu provided, ask for some new suggestions, and/or ask us to prepare a family favorite or something you saw in a magazine. When and how should I submit menu requests? Your menu request should be sent by e-mail www.chefdzcafe@yahoo.com Can you make meals that fit within my strict gluten-free diet? Yes, we can design a menu that will fit within the parameters of most of your diet and lifestyle choice including gluten free, low salt, low cholesterol, low carbohydrates, vegan, etc. Can you make food just for my kids? Yes, we are happy to cater to children. Do you prepare foods for the holidays? Yes, We can make dishes for your holiday meals as a complete service. Why does your service wind up costing the same, as I would pay to eat dinner out? Our service is much more extensive and tailored to your needs than dining out a similarly priced restaurant. When and how do I pay for the service? The service fee is paid when the first cook date is scheduled at the initial consultation. Subsequent fees must be paid five working days prior to each cook date. You can make payments by mailing a check, and/or by making cash payment arrangements. How much space do you need in refrigerator/freezer? We will need sufficient space to store the food you’ve ordered and the amount will depend on which plan you chosen. We appreciate your leaving the refrigerator as clear as possible to minimize any storing challenges. How do you get into my house? We make the necessary arrangements with you during your initial consultation. Do you cook in my kitchen? Yes. We prepare all your meals in your kitchen. It is much safer than having meals prepare elsewhere and delivered to your home. How long will you be in my house? The times varies according to which plan you have chosen and whether there are one or two chefs preparing yours meals. Why can’t you cook my meals at your hose and just deliver them to me? It is against the law for a person to sell foods prepared in a non-commercially approved kitchen to the public. Can I heat up my food directly from the freezer? No. You should defrost your food in the refrigerator overnight prior to reheating. You have the option of defrosting the food in the microwave and then immediately heating the food thoroughly in the microwave, on the stove or in the oven and then eating it. |
